Loving it in the Mountains

"The Mile High City faded in his rearview mirror as he headed toward a different range of mountains after his conference.

'I wanted to tour the southwestern part of Colorado while I was in the state,' says Eric Funk. 'So, after spending the weekend in Denver in 1997 for a microwave engineering conference, I headed that way.'

He especially enjoyed visiting Ouray. He loved it so much that he came back four times after that to hike the Uncompahgre and to ski. 'My brother Ethan and I came to ski Telluride in 1999 and 2000.' "
